Techniques
The techniques
Eleko: cassava starch painted or stencilled on cloth, then dyed. The starch keeps those parts pale.
Oniko: cloth tied with raffia into circles before dyeing.
Alabere: stitched by hand, pulled tight, dyed, then unpicked.
