The first weeks matter
Every client leaves with a printed aftercare sheet. This page says the same things. If you are worried about your skin, see a doctor.
Tattoo
Looking after a new tattoo
Leave the wrap
Keep the film on for as long as your artist says.
Wash gently
Clean hands, lukewarm water and an unscented soap.
Pat dry
A clean paper towel, not a cloth towel.
A thin layer
A little balm, two or three times a day.
Keep it covered
Out of the sun, the sea and the pool until it has settled.
Piercing
Looking after a new piercing
Hands off
Do not twist or turn the jewellery.
Saline
Spray with sterile saline once or twice a day.
Sleep
Try not to sleep on it.
Check-up
Come back in six weeks so we can look and downsize.
