Look after your pen
A fountain pen used every day and cleaned now and then will outlast you.
Bring it to our pen clinic on Saturdays and we will clean and adjust it while you wait.
Cleaning
Clean a pen in four steps
Empty it
Write it dry, or squeeze the converter out.
Flush it
Cool water through the nib until it runs clear.
Dry it
Wrap the nib in a soft cloth overnight.
Refill
Start again with fresh ink.
Care questions
My pen will not write. What now?
Flush it with cool water. Most pens start again straight away.
Can I mix inks?
Please do not. Flush the pen between colours.
How often should I clean it?
Every time you change colour, or once a month.
