Gold purity
What the karat means
Karat tells you how much of a piece is pure gold. We stamp it inside and write it on your receipt.

Testing
How we test gold
Every piece made here, and every piece of old gold brought in.
- Method

- Done
- In front of you
- Recorded
- Karat and weight on the receipt

We make jewellery to wear. We do not sell gold as an investment and make no promise about what any piece will be worth later.
Purity questions
Why not 24ct?
Pure gold bends and scratches too easily to wear every day.
Why does 21ct look deeper?
More gold, less of the other metals.
Is plated gold the same?
No. We only make solid gold pieces and say the karat.
